Planning
What you need to consider beforehand so that nothing goes wrong!
The location:
An ice skating rink for the public should have a central location and be easily accessible.
Examples: town square or sports field.
The underground:
The underground must be level (+/-1 cm).
Indoors this is usually no problem.
Outdoors the differences must be leveled.
The rink size:
We can offer every size and form:
Small: 20 x 10; 30 x 10 or 30 x 15 m. Medium:
30 x 20; 40 x 20 or 40 x 25 m. Large: 30
x 40; 30 x 50 or 30 x 60 m.
Power supply:
Depending on the size of the ice rink 63 – 500 A.
Water supply:
A fire hose is perfect (C).
Otherwise at least 1”.
Toilets:
According to regulations.
Skate rental:
Absolutely necessary. A good source of revenue.
Changing options:
At least benches, a room with seating and coat hooks or lockers is better.
Cash register:
Ideally in a booth or a container.
Snacks:
A must. Soft drinks, mulled wine, sweets, French fries and sandwiches. A good source of revenue.
Supervision:
At least one person.
An ice skating rink, for example at a Christmas market, is not only fun for the
ntire family but also promotes a positive image of the entire city.
